(three is not several) Tough call, all four were good films, but I’ll say Tracy because ITW holds a special place in my heart I got an A in history (ever so many years ago) for a report comparing the play to the actual trial ---

It may be heresy, but I’d say Hanks/Ryan. I don’t think Tracy/Heburn have worn well over the years. Who has had a more disappointing later career, Meg Ryan or Sean Young? ---

The Tennessee Valley Authority is still around, as is Social Security. A sidewalk near my apartment contains a stone that’s engraved something like “Constructed by the WPA, 1940”. Maybe more kids recognize Bogie, but he didn’t affect the infrastructure of the country to any significant degree. Which FDR opponent would have been a better president, Alf Landon or Wendell Willkie? ---
