By “gigantic” I mean the thing could easily cover three full-sized automobiles. I’m assuming it’s being flown by Trump supporters, because who else would do something whose meaning is so obscure to me, but what’s the point? To make fun of Biden? To mock Harris supporters (somehow)? To show off how clever they think they are? Someone went to a lot of trouble and expense to custom-make this flag, and I’d just ask the people flying it except I don’t want to talk to a Trump supporter, ever again, for the rest of my life if I can manage that. ---

It’s not only a three-year-old meme at this point, but as noted, it’s a mocking of the guy who isn’t even running anymore. I have no doubt that they’re flying it because (a) they’re noxious Trump supporters, and (b) they spent a crap-ton of money on something that’s not particularly relevant anymore. ---

Personally, I think that, at this point, most Democrats and liberals who see a display like that briefly think, “yeah, whatever, you’re an idiot,” and move on. It only annoys you if you know what in the ever-loving fuck they’re going on about. We stayed at an RV park two years ago where the registration office was selling ballcaps with “Let’s Go Brandon” on them. I had no idea WTF that was supposed to mean, still don’t, and don’t want to learn. There are times when ignorance is truly bliss. ---

There’s a house that I pass daily on my way to work that has about a half-acre of land that it sits on, and has a large wooden fence around it. It’s _covered_ with flags that include the “Trump/Vance 2024” slogan, the “Make America Great Again” motto, pictures of Trump post-shooting with his fist in the air, and yard signs of the two aforementioned slogans, and a “Make America Healthy Again” version, which indicates to me that they’re at least partially up on current events. But they also have a few “Dark Brandon” and other anti-Biden signs cluttering up their yard, which makes me wonder exactly how in tune they _really_ are. I have a feeling that I’m going to see those signs and flags in my little Kentucky town (red county in a red state, but I live just outside a blue city) for quite a while, irrespective of who wins Tuesday (please let it be Kamala). ---
