You got a cold? I do and let me tell you, it sucks. I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and my eyes look horrible, the lower rims are all red (not burst artery or anything) and my joints ache, my nose is clogged and I’m coughing like a 75year 3pack a day smoker.
Come, share your illness in this sterile environment.

All the other music majors here are terribly sick, but I’ve managed to escape it so far. I know it’s coming, though. It’s waiting so that I’m the sickest a week from Tuesday when I have a performance.

I just got over a cold. One of the kind that progresses through every variety of cold symptoms. Started with a sore throat, then sniffles and sneezing, then coughing and chest congestions, ending with runny nose and plugged up ears. Damn thing lasted almost 2 weeks.

I’m at three weeks and counting. Severe congestions like I have never experienced before, terrible headaches, throat irritation, weezing and hacking all the time. I am completely exhausted at this point. Come and give me a big kiss **Poonther**!

I have sinusitis. I went to the doctor yesterday to get some drugs, because I knew it was more than just a cold. I’ve had a severe headache for about three days, stuffy nose, slight fever, chest infection, body aches…

Not me. I got a snotty nose for a few days a couple of times in the last month but thats it. Its probably in part due to my regular exercise regimin, my vitamin/supplement regimin and the fact that I use zicam whenever I start to get cold symptoms. That or luck. Either way I know in winter when everyone in my family had a cold and my brother says ‘you’re going to get it next’ I never did.

Me too, me too.
My nose is runny, my eyes are watery, my body aches, there’s gunk in my throat and I have no energy. I took some nyquil last night to get to sleep and it worked for a measly five hours.
Does anyone have a nice pot of chicken soup for a poor germ filled doper?

I had a nasty cold all week. My nose ran, I sneezed like crazy, and I sounded like a man. Now I’ve got bronchitis and debating if I want to go to the doctor on Monday. I’m not feverish or anything, but I’ve got a productive cough.

The hacking and wheezing sounds familiar. But this cold has a new symptom I hadn’t heard of before: EVERYTHING STINKS!

Yeah me too
Sinus headaches runny nose cough ache all over. Been 3 weeks now. Everytime I think its getting better it starts up again.Throats not sore anymore though.
Guess it will probably be gone by at least june.

Mine started around Sunday and hit the worst (so far) on Friday. I’ve been unable to get to sleep (okay, World of Warcraft is partly responsible for that), getting into work late, having to leave early because I’m tired and miserable, and just lying on the couch and moaning. The Sudafed kind of works, but is making my right eye puff out so I look like Quasimodo from the Disney version of _Hunchback of Notre Dame_.
Worst thing about me with a cold is that for some perverse reason I want to smoke _more_. The little voice keeps saying “it’ll make you feel better.” So the cough always lasts for at least a week longer than the rest of the symptoms.
Bleah.

I got it last Saturday (when I had to work 2 shows, I could barely stand during the evening show), and I’m still not over it today. I’m goin to England later this week andI praying that I’m better by the time I leave on Thurs.

This has definately been the wierdest cold I’ve ever gotten. There’s the usual low-grade fever, phlemy cough, stuffy nose, and post-nasal drip, which is causing lovely bouts of nausea. The odd things are burping(from swallowing weird, I guess), tons of saliva, and my skin hurts. Not to mention the sudden onset of poor grammar. ☹

mrAru and I have type A influenza. only reason i am online is trying to get my electric company billing to get fixed and i am stuck on hold. I would prefer to be in bed with hubby but we need the electricity _on_ and not _off_. Tamiflu is our friend, not to mention hydrocodone syrup and a roomie who is wonderful about making us hot chicken soup and tea and toast…
Why did it feel like they are shoving a 2x4 up my nose when they do the fast influenza test? :smack: you would think a tiny cotton swab wouldnt hurt that much :eek:

I’ve had the flu/bad cold more or less six times this year. Bad cough, low grade fever, sore throat, general aches and pains, no appitite, and so tired. Six times! I’m getting sick again too, my throat hurts whenever I swallow or talk. Oy. I should have gotten a flu shot. _shakes head_

I have the stomach flu. I ache like I never have before. Dizzy, tired. Can’t stop smoking, which just makes me more nauseated. And today is my son’s second birthday, so I got to go to Chuck E. Cheese and for some moronic reason I decided to eat a piece of cake. My tummy hates me for it!! I love whining about being sick. It makes me feel better!
