Something in that article caught my eye and I had to do a little bit of research but, yeah, turns out Randy Rainbow went to my old high school. 😃 He’s like 15 years younger than me, so I doubt he had many of the same teachers I did, but it does mean that he and I have both performed on the same stage. ---

Mrs. Gap and I love Randy. Guy is super talented, and always seems to have a video to cheer us up when the news of the current “president” gets too depressing. ---

He’s great! My friends share his vids on Facebook every so often and I think I’ve seen links here too. I’m not a musicals fan but he pics good songs so I know almost all of the songs he’s done. His videos are really well done and very sassy!! He was actually performing at the venue in my town last night. I considered going but I’m poor and tired so I never followed through. A couple of my friends went, though. ---

I love Randy Rainbow! I’m also impressed that that is his real name (he said he told his parents “how did you expect me to turn out with that name?”). I bought a pair of pink cats-eye reading glasses in his honor. ---

Dan Savage had Rainbow on his podcast in 2016 and he admitted that he was surprised (and disappointed, of course) that Trump won and actually made a video for Hillary winning. The very first one I ever saw was The Very Stable Genee-us. Absolutely brilliant. I’ve seen several very good ones since, but nothing quite up to that first one. I think my DIL put a link on Facebook. ---
