Not that I post all that often, of course. Or that I’m well known–although I did get honorable mention way back when in the “odd things that happened during sex” thread about the sacrificial mouse.
But, heck, I’ve been lurking since the beginning and posting the odd answer now and again. And I’m always on the look out for ways to reward myself that have absolutely nothing to do with food or body size.
So, I’m in.
I hope all the other weight-conscious dopers reward themselves the same way.
And please, please, please, re-color the smilies. If you do, I promise not to begin more than half of my sentences with conjunctions in the future. Really. I do.

Man, this is like one of those drive-by meat salesmen, I never can quite turn them down.
I’d never even heard of the “Straight Dope” once in my 32 years of living until a week ago. The articles have been entertaining enough and the forum looks active enough for me to blow $5.
Plus it’s just $5, and I keep telling myself, “If you actually like posting here, how stupid would you feel if you didn’t take advantage of the reduced rate!”

I walk away from the board for a few weeks to do some things in real life. Then I come back and you’ve gone from public access to cable. 😛
