This remains my favorite SDMB rant of all time: > [@We are so f\*cking screwed (re: the war)](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/we-are-so-f-cking-screwed-re-the-war/165179/82): > > Oh, now all of you are in trouble. I’m roaring drunk and still rattling around in my armchair where I’m safely assured to be virtually invisible until the ugly truth slaps you in the face like The Hedgehog’s semescent tubule waking you from a quaalude daydream while the cameras roll. Yeah, those Germans and those Japanese are just fucking great examples of militaristic countries that suddenly fell into line after the great and mighty America clobbered them both into sumbission. Except for one… It was far, far too prophetic, and even to the extent he was wrong, he was very ‘ckin’ funny. I miss **Sofa\_King** ---

Since I am not rereading this thread, a lot of these have likely been posted. Some of these dudes were likely banned - likely with some cause. I might have posted them myself, maybe in this thread. Anyway, a list might include: @Polycarp @Una_Persson (still here?) @Zenster @Handy @Scylla @matt_mcl (still here?) @OpalCat @TubaDiva (the truth is out there) @Johnny_L.A (?) … ---

Hmmmmmm. Maybe this works better than I thought…? Let’s try this. Dear Missed Connections: You: Attractive, fit blonde woman wearing yoga pants riding Subway, reading _Return of the Straight Dope_. Nice smile. Me: Muscular dude with beard, wearing ripped jeans, red shirt and leather coat. ---
