I often wonder what happened to @Statsman1982 and if he’s still alive. It has been more years than I can remember since I posted here. I stop by every couple of years just to see how things are. The every-growing “In Memorandum” thread as well as this one saddened me when I saw how many people I knew (some in real life) who are no longer with us. However, it also heartens me to see that there are still a lot of people still around who participate, and to learn that even the ones who have moved on to other things in life are doing well. I’m not nearly the same person as I was in '99 when I first joined, which I’m sure is true for all of us, and despite its problems I still consider the SDMB to be a bright spot on the Internet. I wish all of you well, and hope the board continues on to make a new generation laugh/ponder/argue (hopefully civilly)/question things and seek knowledge. ---
