I’ve been wondering about @Riemann - I always noted their weird but cool quasar image (although the _first_ time I saw it thought it was a distorted HAL9000 Image), and they were extremely active in many of the fora I visted. Nothing since February of this year (2024)… Perhaps one of you fine folks knows more? ---

From the early days of the board, an Aussie poster TheLoadedDog (name taken from a short story by Henry Lawson) was a fairly prolific poster with an abundance of wit and intelligence. I didn’t mention it here on the SDMB at the time, app 4 years ago, but he passed away after a long battle with a major physical injury combined with the associated severe depression. that often accompanies such disability. Funny, smart bloke, I miss his presence here very much. ---
