Great to hear about your kid. My grandnephew is on the spectrum, and in 8th grade it was determined he no longer needed an IEP. My nephew said he wept with joy when he heard that. Your son will probably be amazing teachers and classmates alike at some point; I’ve seen it happen as an educator more than once. ---

I know there were a lot of posters who mentioned that they needed to step away after the election, and especially declared “Day 1” plans and the the ratfuckery that _did_ actually ensue. I honestly can’t _blame_ anyone for that, and I have personal rules that have me posting less in P&E and political Pit threads myself. I hope it’s something that simple like a mental health vacation. 🤞 ---
