I consider my money well spent on this particular type of Dope. Should I support public broadcasting instead? At least they don’t have pledge drives here. I’ll re-up. ---

Re-up? Would that reduce the time-outs and slow load-times? Didn’t think so. I pay $15/year for, um… nothing in particular. I’ll continue to pay or not pay for, um… nothing in particular. Oh wait. We can search. Oh, wait. No, we can’t. Shit be broke. ---

I, too, will miss reading your posts, **Miss Purl McKnittington**. I’m not sufficiently interested in clothing, crafts, or farm life to read your LiveJournal (please don’t be offended – I don’t read _anyone_’s LJ), but I have certainly appreciated your contributions to the SDMB. You’ve made it clear that your decision to leave is based on the current nature of the Board rather than finances, but were it the latter case then a continued Charter Membership could readily be guaranteed. _[Writing that made me thirsty, so I think I’ll drink some of this stuff in the fridge labeled “unpasteurized milk”, since there is now nobody left to Fight my Ignorance.]_ ---

This is beginning to remind me of the post _Anatevka_ scene from _FIDDLER_, but then most things do. We will be posting on Uncle Avram’s message board in Chicago, America. Work hard, Rubystreak, Purl and Twickster, and come to us as soon as you can. ---

I renewed a few weeks ago. I don’t want ads, and it’s worth the money for me to avoid them and keep my CM status (such as it is). The SDMB has gone through its ups and downs–here’s hoping we an infusion of new blood with the free posting. I’m sorry to see that so many people appear to be leaving, though. ---

I re-upped a month or two ago. I can’t see how they are going to make more money off of ads, I can’t stand ads and I never click on them so they get more out of me this way anyway. ---

I renewed last night. I don’t want to see ads plastered all over the SDMB. I tolerate the Google ads because they are relatively unobtrusive, and know that the more obnoxious ads could be easily blocked for free - but I would like to support the board’s continued existence. ---

Tell me, did you get any notification that it was time to renew or were you keeping track? Cause, I’m not keeping track, I’m kind of counting on a notification. If you tell me you didn’t get one, I’ll check a little closer on when I should be renewing. Thanks for the help, sorry for the hijack. ---
