Hey, you dudes arguing about how many times **Czarcasm** posted. You do realize, do you not, that the post count can be incremented _before_ a post is made as well as _after_? That number is (until you actually click on it) just a superposition of various possible numbers that it could be, with those numbers that approximate your actual post count having the highest probability of being actually observed. Causality, not necessarily operating solely forward in time, could allow the count to be incremented prior to a post actually being made. If you see a post count higher than the actual number of posts, you can be sure that the stated number of posts will eventually appear (typically, quite soon), and eventually even more posts as well. BUT, if you use this advance knowledge of the number of posts to _predict_ that (for example, if you are placing bets on it), then it doesn’t work that way. When you do that, the advance knowledge of the eventual post count gets voided, and will then have only coincidental (if any) relation to “reality”. For some values of “reality” anyway. ---
