Elimination round, chance to move to the quarterfinals. This isn’t like '94, we (USA) know the Mexican team, we aren’t in awe of them. We’ve got a real chance this time. I’m just glad I’m not working early shifts this week like I did last week…so bring it on! ---

Hmmm, they go 3-5-2 so we counter with 3-5-2…I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mexico trot out a 6th midfielder just to see what the heck we’d do then. With the injury trouble, we’ve gotta manage our 3 substitutions well. ---

Is it just me or are these camera angles truly awful? The full field cam is at about binocular range, the one close cam is behind the goal, and the other zoom cams can’t seem to get the distance right. Maybe my eyes are going though… ---

About 35 minutes in, and both teams are looking pretty good. USA looks pretty darned coordinated, and I’m impressed. This should be an exciting game. I can easily see the US holding a 1 goal lead over Mexico for most of the game, with fierce attacking by the Mexicans towards the end, making things interesting. Then again, I don’t really know anything about football. 🙂 ---
