It’s by a prominent author, and I’ve tried for years to remember his name or the title but can’t. It’s a humorous story about an old couple, the wife a real nag, and the old guy lures her to the basement to kill her. She nags him all the way down. It had me in tears. Thanks in advance. ---

No, it’s an old story, and very funny, not horror at all. By old, I mean I found it in a collection of classics. ---
