After watching all the hookupage going on in the [Single Doper and Nerd Hookup Thread and Cotillion](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=255766), I realise that you Meriken folks live far too close to each other and are having far too much fun. Therefore, what with spring being here and all, I declare the desire to have a TronnaDope. Gotta tempt people to my city _somehow_. Location: somewhere in Toronto. Time: To be determined. Anyone interested? And if there’s already a TronnaDope planning thread out there that I’ve missed, please point me to it. ---

Been lookin’ for one for some time now, seeing as I travel to T. O. every other week usually (although not lately, as I have been seeing a certain Doper in Illinois a lot 🙂 ) I’m in. (And you better show up, **scott** , I’m not going to be able to make it to Dopereal!) ---

That might be cool. Might, indeed. 😃 After the wild success of my [first](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=239464) Dopefest experience, I’m eager for more. I can’t promise anything, 'cause I’m in summer school and work certain weekends and stuff. Suggested activities: - Riding the subway, the buses, and the GO Train. I’ve been noticing all sorts of new-ish Toronto Dopers around. Great idea. I’ll try, but I just got a job that requires me to work until 10 pm on Friday, and 11 pm on Saturday. We’ll see. ---

Late June or early July would work for me… I’m currently on medical leave from work, so I have lots of time on my hands. However, if another pilgrimage to NYC materializes for me, I might have to juggle stuff, or skip Toronto (sorry). I might bring my other half, as all he’s ever seen of Toronto is the airport, and that was as he had to sprint from one terminal to another in order to catch a connecting flight. Then again, I might come solo. Who can say? 😃 This thread is a few days old… I’m suprised **Cerowyn** hasn’t popped in. Maybe we lost him in the great $4.95 switchover… ---

Well, if we make enough noise, maybe **Cerowyn** will hear. Hmm. Would the weekend after Canada Day (around Saturday the third of July) be too insane a date? Would it make things easier or harder for people to be there? ---

You know, I keep swearing that I’m going to remember to ego surf the SDMB every so often, and yet I never remember to. :o In my defense, I was on the other side of the Pacific at the time this thread was started, and perhaps my eyesight is deteriorating. Okay, enough with the excuses. If folks are interested in another 'Fest here, I’m willing to participate in the planning again. Early July works for me, too. Pride is the weekend of June 26, so July 2-4 would allow the esteemed Crayon Connoisseur to join us again, and it’s after the election on June 28 for Leftie (I kid 😉 Hope you get elected!). Is that good for everyone? What sort of events would people like to plan? I’ll probably have the kids that weekend, so I’d lean towards things like the zoo, Toronto Islands, beach, or what have you. And, of course, there’s always room for out-of-towners to stay. ---

I’ve got travel plans around the times you’re proposing, so I’m a no, but I just wanted to warn Sunspace that I am nowhere near done picking his brain, mercilessly, about Esperanto. I’ve been fascinated about it and didn’t get nearly enough time to grill him with all my questions (most of which are laughably ignorant) last time I was in Toronto. Just so he knows. Someday I will be back. ---

Well, I think that July 2-4 would be spendid! Let’s nail it to that date. Visiting the Islands, beach, etc would be pretty neat. And I haven’t been to the zoo in _years_.
