Like, if they had put it in a different key? I don’t understand what you’re saying.

no - that key is right where it’s supposed to be - but a mezzo, even a lyric mezzo, has to strain to hit the higher notes - i could hear it in her voice - she is well trained, no denying that, it was just out of her range
I sing - and I periodically take classes to improve my skills, and this is the kind of thing I learn how to listen for

Yeah, I’m a voice major – I thought she was fine. The song certainly isn’t out of the mezzo range, it’s no higher than any number of, say, Carmen or Rosina’s.

How could I have forgotton the tribute to Johnny Carson? Although I have seen all the clips before in the DVD set his production company put out, it was very nicely done and both my mother and I laughed…I was only 7 when Johnny went off the air, and even though I never watched his show, I can tell from looking at clips of it that he was one-of-a-kind. He will be missed.

> I think what made the _Star Trek_ song so funny was that they got Frederica von Stade to sing it! Otherwise, Emmy Idol was pretty lame.

No love for The Mulally-Trump Experience? Donald doesn’t really have that bad of a singing voice.
