I can’t decide myself. Its between two of the most popular ones (I’m a sellout, so what?). Batman. I see him as a dark disturbed person trying to right every wrong. He has his own idea of what justice is and he dishes it out. He is tormented by himself and thinks that by ridding the world of evil his pain will stop. At least thats how I see him. He extremely motivated. Hes not someone you’d want to hang around with, but his devotion is honorable. And of course Superman. Hes a seemingly ordinary person that just wants to do good. Can anyone honestly say that they wouldn’t want to be him? That is if you take out the crimefighting aspect. Just to be that strong and fast. I don’t think the novelty of it would ever wear out for me. Well actually, it probably would but I would enjoy it while it lasts. So whats your pick? ---

Crazy Jane, of the Doom Patrol. Suffered from multiple personality disorder, she didn’t have superpowers, but most of her personalities did. Best superhero ever. ---

Gee whiz, I like 'em all. Some favorites: **The Hulk** was probably the first superhero I ever started reading in comic book form. My very first issue was #287, way back in the early 80s. I always held a certain place for him after that. **Spider-Man** is identifiable as an “everyman” sort of character. **The Silver Surfer** is…just…plain…cool. **The Spectre** (Jim Corrgian, not Hal Jordan) is a recent favorite. Something about the mix of anger management and theological discussions appealed to me in the character. But, hell, I like 'em all. ---

spider man and batman capatian america and the hulk I liked marvel super heros more than I did dc becuase they seemed more human on the whole ---

Brainiac 5 of the Legion of Super-Heroes. I love that combination of super-genius intellect and zero street smarts, and how his faith in his own mind gets him, in roughly equal amounts, triumph and comeuppance. I also like Star Boy of the Legion, but just because his last name’s so similar to mine. And I also have a fondness for Starman Jack Knight and for the new Doctor Mid-Nite. ---

Wolverine was always my favorite. I really liked the tormented lack of a past thing he had, but Marvel’s done gone fucked that up several times over. Plus, he was always the loose cannon, but they’ve pretty much toned that down as well. So now, I’m not too sure of him. But, I’ve still got my back issues, so I can reminice. Of the few comics I currently collect, I’d probably say Jack Hawksmore of the Authority. Something about the way he always manages to show up in the nick of time to punch his fist through someone’s skull works well for me. I like the “No crap” attitude of all the Authority, but Jack has a more down to earth kind of attitude about it all at the same time. And, although I’m not sure she counts as a superhero(heroine), Dawn is my favorite overall. ---
