A bronze cast of [The Thinker](http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/05/21/gen.missing.sculpture.ap/index.html) was retrieved from the WTC rubble, and promptly stolen.

Who the fuck steals art anyway? They can’t even display it, let alone sell it, once it’s been reported missing.

I read an article years ago about the people who purchase stolen art. They genuinely enjoy owning the piece of art and don’t need to show it to anybody else or let anybody know they have it.

Talk about an internal locus of control.
