I can’t provide the link but a search of "Hitler was ordered to trim his moustache " should bring out a Daily Telegraph article asserting the same . It has a photograph of his earlier moustache . Possibly other well moustached soldiers did not trim so drastically , shaved completely , or never achieved notoriety . And frankly it does not seem a very "catchy " look, though maybe that’s hindsight . ---

Don’t know if one moustache is more evil than the other. Hitler’s moustache was just stupid and useless. Stalin had a crumbcatcher so he could at least have an afternoon snack to brush out of his 'stache if he felt a little peckish. ---
