# Why all the fuss over Ward Churchill?

But job security isn’t absolute, which is really all I’ve been saying all along. And if Churchill is eventually fired, it will be fir a laundry list of reasons. He’ll not be a great poster boy for academic freedom, given the abuse he’s made of this right in the past.
