Somehow I have been logged out of the Dope on my tablet. When I try to log back in, I’m given instructions to activate, verify, and then access my account. I never logged out so I don’t know what happened there. But I’m not giving my CC information to anyone. Why can’t I log back in? ---

That sounds really sketchy. Like a phishing scam with a SDMB lookalike login page. I just bought a new iPad and had to log in two days ago and encountered nothing like that. ---

I wonder if SDMB’s advertising broker got served a scam and is trolling for people who might not ask questions when presented with what looks like an online invoice. ---

We never ask for CC information. Your account shows as activated, so there’s no reason for you to re-activate it. If you logged out on your tablet, you should be asked for your login info, not CC info. Send me a PM. You may have malware on your tablet. ---
