Its not women, and its not Southerners. It’s just that the average person is…average. They naturally want to be in whatever “normal” prevails, and most people don’t have any trouble doing that, because they _are_ normal. If you’re not, more power too you. It comes with gifts and curses, but going through life with a sense of resentment is the latter, not the former. ---

They want what’s average to them. The forums on Plenty of Fish have a wider demographic base than SDMB, and on it I’ve read “he’s perfect: drives a pick-up, takes my kids fishing, _but_ his teeth are black and crooked. What should I do?” While in the suburbs of Atlanta, the Buckhead Bettys are adamant that if they ever had sex in a bedroom that didn’t have a fireplace and lets into a bathroom suite with garden tub, they might as well be sucking trucker dicks out in the lot. ---

The OP’s problem, judging from all his threads taken together, is that he is very, very atypical for where he lives. And is prickly-proud about being different. Which is another way of saying he’s constantly sneering at the typical locals. The female flavor of which resents being sneered at. The answer is simple: Find a place where your interests and attitudes are mainstream. Move there. And still find that 95% of women your age don’t like you for a serious relationship. Just like 95% of everybody doesn’t like any given other person for a serious relationship. But the difference between the 95%-against odds you’ll have in a good locale versus the 99.998%-against odds you have where you are now is a 2,500 to one improvement in your odds. Move young man: you have nothing to lose but your celibacy & loneliness. ---
