But now that I know I can, I’m more than happy to and I’ll get my staff figuring how to fund it right away.” If that is true the Pubs will put out the message of how the Dems were willing to starve you and your children for their dumbass losing battle for ACA. But we funded it despite them." and the Dem message will be their typical “Derp, Trump bad man.”
According to polling, Democrats are winning this messaging battle right now. I’m not sure why you’re so committed to insisting they’re losing.

Why should the Dems cave now?
Senate Democrats on Wednesday dug deeper into their demand that President Trump negotiate with them on health care subsidies in exchange for reopening the government, after Mr. Trump declared that the record-long federal closure had hurt his party in Tuesday’s elections.
You don’t NEGOTIATE with Donald Trump. Because he doesn’t stick to his agreements and he can’t be trusted. You give him an ultimatum and walk away. And even if the Dems “negotiate” with not-crazy Republicans, Donnie will sweep away and cancel whatever the two sides come up with.
And, beyond that, Trump has told Congressional Republicans to not negotiate with the Democrats. His only strategies right now appear to be:
- Try to convince more Senate Democrats to cave and sign onto a “clean bill”
- Strong-arm GOP Senators to get rid of the filibuster, so that they can pass a spending bill without 60 votes
I would think that if people were blaming the Dems, then the Republicans would have done better yesterday. But what do I know?
I’m about to face my 2d missed paycheck, and I’ll be PISSED if the fucking Dems give in to those bastards.
I’m curious as to why people blame the Republicans. Is it because they feel the Pubs should give in to the minority party? Is it because they hold the majority in the Senate and should be able to pass whatever they want (i.e. I don’t understand the filibuster rules). Is it just a lot of people who say everything the Republicans do is wrong & evil & worse than Hitler?
