# Why are hotel beds so high off the floor?

Ahhh, finally a fellow [Hitchcock](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047396/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1) fan in the crowd.

I’ve noticed a correlation between higher hotel room beds and the introduction of the shadow box enclosing the under bed area.

Then again, no need to connect elevation to causation. 🙂

Several actually. One of my coworkers, who is a wheelchair user, does site checks for one based in New Hampshire.
