Oh man I just remembered when ebay removed the ability of seller to leave feedback on customers, or reply to feedback left by customers. So now customers could leave whatever feedback they wanted, you could not even clarify or respond.
The ebay seller forums blew up with sellers complaining of customers using negative feedback threats for discounts, refunds,etc. It really was one of the most boneheaded moves ebay ever made.
Yeah- no. Here’s what happened- sellers were not giving FB until the buyer did, and then if the buyer gave bad FB, they’d retaliate… no matter how well deserved.
Next, if a buyer uses a negative feedback threat, that’s FB extortion, and eBay removes the negative FB.
The system as it is now works very well. Buyers are not afraid to leave bad FB, thus scamster sellers are found out quickly.
