So I’m pregnant. 9 weeks. My eyelids are suddenly a peachy salmon color. They do not itch or hurt. They are not gummy. I do not have any other symptoms. They do not feel hot. It simply looks like I have set the makeup gun to “whore.” What’s up with this? Am I some sort of brightly colored freak? ---

I’ll post this answer just in case nobody shows up with an authoritative answer (as I’m sure someone will). A while back there was a thread started by a concerned husband, whose wife’s inner thighs turned dark during her period. The same thing happens to me, and also the veins in my face are easier to see. Apparently, some women have skin color that changes according to the hormonal tides. The pink-salmon color is interesting, though. The thigh thing looks like a dark tan. ---

Yeah, which I’ve seen on myself (not recently, obviously). And “mask of pregnancy” is supposed to be brown as well. Plus, it’s a bit early for that. This is quite obviously a peachy-salmon pink. Is my baby an alien? ---

Congrats on your pregnancy! A bunch of links came up in Google after typing in “pregnancy skin color changes”. At least it’s preferable to daily morning sickness, right? 🙂 ---

Could it have something to do with the blood flow in your eyelids? Just a WAG but it’s a possibility. ---

I didn’t have pink eyelids but all of my birthmarks got darker. The hormonal rollercoaster ride does amazing things to your body! Hang on tight and enjoy it as much as you can 🙂
