Contacts I have in the bureaucracy. Right now it’s a proposal among the higher-ups but even the fact that they are discussing cutting out 10 days of pay of all of the workers means the budget is in oh-shit shape ---

I know almost everyone here is an apologist for Biden but let’s be honest, if the President of the United States is powerless to stop a state governor from effectively determining immigration policy then he’s a weak-ass President. ---

A terse “yes” about Republicans deliberately prolonging the problem, followed by a paragraph ignoring what the Republicans are doing(blocking Biden’s efforts) and claiming that Biden isn’t doing anything. Republicans are blocking efforts that Biden isn’t making? ---

Not stated, not even implied, and non responsive to what I actually said. What Biden can and cannot legally do has already been covered in this thread, and the so-called “solutions” you have put forward would only give Republicans political fodder…but I suspect you already know that. ---

Please explain exactly what Biden can do legally about Abbott’s political stunt. Not “do an executive order”. Specific actions that Biden can directly take to to stop this. Bonus points if these actions do not play right into the MAGAts hands and deliver the election to Trump. ---

I’m not seeing any housing in your first example, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that getting permission to put such housing on Federally protected land would be almost impossible. Reminder (yet again): A President is not a king or an emperor. ---
