Yeah, after my earlier post, I realize that an original movie, set in the Discworld universe, would work better. I’d propose something with the Ankh-Morpork City Watch (perhaps a sequel to **Guards! Guards!**?), if only because the “urban cop” angle would give newcomers something to relate to, and you’d get to drop in appearances by various Discworld regulars.

_The ancient city of Ankh-Morpork…_

(Scenes of Ankh-Morpork daily life)

_…is threatened by an ancient evil…_

(Scenes of secret societies, mystic ceremonies, noble dragons attacking the city, people in chaos)

_And their only hope…_

(Smash cut of various citizens watching in awed disbelief)

_…is the City Watch._

(Cut to Nobby Nobbs and Sgt. Colon, hanging around, avoiding work. Nobby scratches himself.)

**Colon:** Nobby, spare a smoke?

(Nobbs searches himself, digs a dog-ear out from his armpit)

**Nobbs:**'ere you go, Sarge.
**Colon:** Thanks.
