Internal consistency in South Park is not necessary. Father Maxi went from straight out murdering people to keep Korn out of town to scary sermons in “Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?” to theological liberalism in “Red Hot Catholic Love” to possibly being bicurious. But then he tried to keep the “fags” out of town, but the rest of the town agrees, and anyway [it’s okay](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_F_Word_%28South_Park%29). ---

Parker writes all of the episodes and he does enjoy kicking the Catholic Church (though he does show moments of sympathy too). ---
