I was unsure which forum to place this in, so I’ll play it safe and post it here. I find the SDMB to be an good discussion place, which is why I signed up in the first place. There is however, one small thing which bugs me, and that is: Why are these forums so darned slow ? And why do they seem to be down or inaccessable on a very frequent basis. I have a pretty decent connection, and I don’t see any other forums which I visit exhibit this same behavior. Sometimes it works fine, and other times, it will literally take minutes for it to connect, and the page to fully load. Other times again, it will be completely down, and one is not able to connect at all. This happens at least once a day, when I have tried to connect. So basically, what’s the reason for this ? Is it the amount of traffic here ? Is it because the servers can not handle the capacity ? Just curious, because this one minor annoyance takes slightly away from an otherwise pretty enjoyable debating experience. ---
