footnote: My wife had a stroke about the same time as Kirk, and they had overlapping therapy at the RIC facility in Wheeling, Illinois.

My wife’s therapy ended after 20 sessions because of my health insurance, after which (really - after - we couldn’t even apply for more until we used all 20) we applied for more. That took 6 weeks, and we got approved for 6 more. Now we’re out again, and applying for 6 more. During these 6 week hiatuses, she backslides.

I think, deep down, even the biggest gay marriage opponent understands that life after SSM is going to be very much the same as life before SSM, for anyone who doesn’t want a SSM.

Life after UHC would be quite different than life before UHC, we just disagree whether that change is for the good or not.
