This can cause problems. He was very obviously making a joke, and didn’t actually expect any sort of reward. It’s not an uncommon style of joke. I know I’ve seen that joke made many times in ATMB, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone take it seriously. Hence why he thinks you have a personal problem with him, and is upset. ---

Ever since _Prodigy_ I have enertained thoughts like [abetted by technology, we tolerate and even encourage the “microcomplaint”: the petty, petulant kvetch about the quotidian.](http://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/15/fashion/the-microcomplaint-nothing-too-small-to-whine-about.html). Suggest we all read it and then bitch and complain about the shortcomings in the post. ---
