# Why bother keeping shareholders happy?

I don’t have time to look it up, but I think that this radical proposal of letting people with significant stakes in a company actually nominate directors has been put forth before - with no success. Not surprising - such anarchistic ideas like two candidates for an office have never been successful. Some awful day there might even be three. My lord! _fans himself to avoid fainting from the shock_
