I have some friends who built a small coop in their yard and purchased five young chickens, so they could have the eggs. And you know, pets. But one of them quickly grew larger than the others and somewhat aggressive, and they began to worry that they had accidentally been given a rooster. But they didn’t know how to tell. Because it is true that when they are young cocks cannot easily be detected. Eventually they ate him. ---
