I’m showing it as available on amazon right now, idk, maybe it’s just me
-aha, but not on Prime, just through third part sellers.

Turns out it’s not on Prime, just 3rd party sellers.
Walmart has it right now.
Some exclusivity deal between Marvel and various sellers?
It has to be a Disney thing because Rogue One is affected too.
And the weirdness continues. Doctor Strange is now for sale direct from Amazon but Rogue One still is not.
It must be Disney’s method of releasing them? Kind of like releasing a copyright for certain characters but not others?
We streamed Doctor Strange last weekend. Id never call myself an uber-Marvel fan, but I really enjoyed it.
Dr. Strange is available from Amazon, but right now it says “Usually ships within 1 to 2 months.”
Just for reference, I recently listed a new book on Amazon, and the sputtering, sparking and daily changes to the listing were amusing to watch.
What was funnier was that half a dozen secondary sellers popped in… and the only copy of the book on earth was on my desk.
So I think trying to read new listings too literally or closely is a mistake…
Cool story bro.
Hope you weren’t trying to watch an Amazon online movie yesterday
Whereas a disc is always at your fingertips.
I recently used the “Vudu To Go” app to convert some discs, and they were offering a 50% discount if you did more than ten. I was able to convert a stack of DVDs for $1 each; not a bad deal considering I bought some of them at thrift stores for next to nothing. I have no idea if this is a continuing discount or a one-time thing, or if it applies to HD conversions (which are normally $5 per disc).
Vudu even upgraded my old pan-and-scan Planet of the Apes to widescreen. Woot! ![]()
The app didn’t recognize a few of my DVDs (mostly old double-sided discs) and some were rejected as ineligible for conversion (Star Wars, natch). But for the most part it was a breeze.
If Hallmark Lifetime movies are your bag — and each to his own — I see Hallmark has it’s own Hallmark Instant Streaming service ( $36 a year in 2012 ).

It’s disturbing how many Lifetime movies contain a subplot in which Santa Claus is real.

Another data point - the “Moana” blu ray, another Disney movie which is getting released tomorrow, shows up as “currently unavailable” on amazon, but can be preordered at best buy, target, and walmart websites. So Disney & Amazon are definitely having some sort of feud.
So are they not putting it on conventional DVD?
It is on DVD and Blu-Ray. muldoonthief pointed out that the same Amazon problem with Dr. Strange is being repeated with Moana. I agree - seems that Disney and Amazon are in a snit with each other.
Out of date but perhaps still valid:

The DVD is now listed as 1 to 3 weeks.
Those date from 2014. Seems they kissed and made up some time after that because I remember pre-ordering Disney flicks from Amazon long after 2014. Yup, I did pre-order Zootopia from Amazon when it first came out on disc.
Must be a renewal of the old dispute or a brand new one.
Wow. I just purchased the 3D Blu-Ray of Dr. Strange last week for $27.96 from Amazon. Now it’s being shown as $39.99?
Looks like a real battle between Disney and Amazon.
The 2014 incident was the first time I remember this happening but was resolved pretty quickly. It is odd that the current situation seems to have no press at all.
