# Why can't I scroll to the end of a thread?

Well how 'bout that. I, too, never noticed it. Or, rather, I just assumed it was informational, not a clickable asset to send me to the last post. Cool. Thanks!

Furthermore, when entering a topic, click or tap the post count or last post date to enter it at the end.

Clicking or tapping **the post title** wil always take you to your last read position in the topic. If you do not have a read position, then you will enter at the top.

Another protip, adding `last` to the end of the URL (replacing the reply number) will also take you to the last post

`https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-cant-i-scroll-to-the-end-of-a-thread/954056/last`

On a laptop the “end” button takes you to the very end of the page, and “home” takes you to the very beginning.
