# Why can't I send a message to another user?

It says I have to change something in my profile, but I don’t see any way to do so. (This message board can drive me daffy, but it makes every other one I’ve seen–besides “The Well”–believe in teh apocalypse. And, yes, that’s a [sic] there.

Do you know how to edit your profile?

In case you don’t, click “User CP” at the left of the menu at the top of this web page (beside “Rules”.)

Once there, go to “Edit Options” and then click the box beside “Enable Private Messaging.”
