For the Peanut Gallery: For many years the Rolleyes smiley/emoticon/emoji was a sickly green face with properly rolled eyes. A few years back it was replaced with :rolleyes:, which does not convey disgust and dismissal of someone’s statement. Instead it is cute. I am often disgusted and dismissive and I want the old one back. Why can’t I have it? ---

I think the intent is to show that I, as the poster, am cool, but I don’t need any pictorial reassurance that I’m cool. ---

I agree about the need for a Rolleyes that actually looks like eye-rolling skepticism, instead of :rolleyes:. That one looks like a happy little person who’s just had a really happy thought! Which is nice for him (or her), of course. But for the poster hoping to convey scorn or disdain or incredulity…it’s useless. ---

The rolleyes smiley is the worst smiley and should be embarrassingly weak looking. If a rolleyes smiley has to exist at all, it should make people who use it sorry they tried and should reflex badly on them. Rolleyes is not a rebuttal. Just say what you mean. ---
