# Why Cristi and not Coldfire??

The threadspoting feature at [http://www.straightdope.com](http://www.straightdope.com) seems to credit Cristi and not Coldfire for [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=23572) thread . Why?

'Cuz she’s the one who spotted the thread, one assumes. Coldy was the OP, and will be known as such by anyone who reads the thread. But, since he was too modest to nominate himself, Cristi does deserve credit for bringing it to the attention of Ed et al.

Yikes. I’d throw myself in front of a moving train if I got credited with that masterpiece. On the SDHP, it says _submitted_ by me. A few others, like Billdo, seconded & thirded it, so I imagine that’s why it got to Threadspotting so quickly after being submitted.

If there’s a thread you really like, and think it’s worthy, put it in the Classic Topics thread! Ed & Co. check that thread pretty regularly, it seems.
