Excellent speculation. He might have wanted to be present for that. But it wouldn’t explain the government jet. If DOJ has a warrant to search, they might give him a courtesy call to let him know the search was shortly underway, but I don’t think they’d send a jet to bring him there. ---

Even with that I expect it wouldn’t have been done so urgently, where he wasn’t even able to change his clothes. This seems like something he is being forced to do against his will, whatever it is. ---

While the speculation is amusing, it’s almost certainly something that is (a) urgent for Trump but (b) mundane for the rest of us. Something like, the RNC is again making noise about stopping support for Trump’s legal expenses and he’s blown in to yell and beg about it. ---

OK, that pretty conclusively proves it’s not any kind of government flight. I’m holding to my hypothesis that this is some sort of urgent private business which is largely unrelated to the ongoing investigations and that the overheated twittersphere is going to be disappointed. ---
