# Why did Obi-Wan call Vader "Darth"

What novelization was that? The official one authored by George Lucas (ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster) said nothing about methane. I’ve still got my copy from 1977 - the descripton of D.V. starts “Two meters tall. Bipedal.”
