Gotta mention the December episode of **Arrested Development** where Michael and his 15-year old niece Maeby sing Afternoon Delight on karoake to each other, until getting to the lyrics about rubbing each other-- he breaks off but she continues, oblivious to the crowd’s reaction. Priceless! ---

Wildfire made my 8 year old son tear up a bit. It made him very sad that she lost her horse. You also made a reference to Aftenoon Delight in your OP. My son goes around the house singing the chorus because of Anchorman. He thought that part of them movie was very funny, as did I. [sub](Yes, I allowed him to watch that movie with me and most of the references went over his head)[/sub] ---

Chalk it up to a difference of usage, I suppose. It seems to me that “last spring” would mean “spring last year” as opposed to “just this past spring”. That might make a good IMHO thread - if it’s Thursday and someone says “last Wednesday”, do you take it to mean “yesterday”.
