# Why didn't Sauron conscript the Stone-Giants?

It gets worse. I remember some of the BOTR poetry better than the LOTR stuff!

“An elven maid there was of old,  
a stenographer by day  
Her hair was fake, her teeth were gold,  
her scent of cheap sachet”

Which always seemed funny to me, because when I read that while attending Villanova, the biggest ball-hog in [del]Middle-Earth[/del]the NCAA was at our rival, Georgetown. How things change.
