Yes, that’s where all the attempts to prop up religion by tearing down science fall short. It’s not enough to discredit science unless you can show that your chosen alternative has greater capability. Religion has yet to demonstrate any capability for understanding the world, much less a better one than science.

If believers claim the bible or their holy book is the word of god, how can they ask why we would take it literally? What are we to believe, it is a holy word of god ,except when it isn’t? They you will tell us when it is not. Sorry, I can’t play that.
