I’ve never driven in Atlanta, only visited a friend who is an almost-native (he’s lived there most of his life). He drives like a _maniac!!_ An absolute MANIAC! I’d make comments about “You’re not really going to make that turn, are you?” (as he did some insane scary on-the-edge-of-my-seat manuver) and he’d look at me and say, “What?” as if he’d done something perfectly normal.

They’re stark, raving mad here. I hate being on the outside lane when someone is turning (basically coming across me), because they cut the turn so sharp, they just barely miss the front of my car. And I mean just BARELY. It’s pretty scary. And it’s every single ONE of em.

I got passed by a cop when I was going 90 down I-75 in Atlanta. And I can always tell Georgia drivers when I’m in Florida or Tennessee - they’re the ones coming up to pass me going 85 or 90. Every time I saw a car about to overtake me by 20 mph, I’d say “Yep, another person from Georgia,” and I was always right.
