I just can’t help it. \*\* Well as usual I’m gonna steal someone else’ question and say ABSOLUTELY DAN SAVAGE KICKS BUTT. He tells it like it is, regardless of its politically correct nature. He’s not afraid to tell people when they’re being stupid and doesn’t try to coddle or whitewash his advice. Much Love for teh Savage. (Oh and I highly recommend “The Kid” written by him. It shows a lot more of his personality and opinions than are shown in the column) ---

I saw it too, **lissener** , and thought you did the thing I was trying to do far better than my attempt at it. I hope **Isabelle** reads it, and begins to understand – that she can “walk a mile in your moccasins.” BTW, considering the topic, shouldn’t your third sentence in that last post begin “I’m so GLAAD…” 😉 ---

If people are bothered by Gay Days, they will faint over the Halloween Night parade at Greenwich Village. Behind the marathon, 4th of July, Labor Day Carribean Parade in Brooklyn, St. Pats and Easter, its the biggest annual event in NYC/ ---

Couple of weeks ago I was in Amsterdam with irishfella. For the first day, all we could see were gay and lesbian couples holding hands and kissing in the street (we had lots of “he/she could do MUCH better” type conversations). By the 5th day they’d disappeared. Well, they were still there, we just didn’t notice any more. If only the whole world was like Amsterdam. ---

Why not? I see heterosexual couples doing it all the time. A couple of good friends of mine are in their 60’s, I believe, and recently got married. When people in the crowd I hang out in see them holding hands, hugging, etc., the response is “Oh, how cute!” A better friend of mine who’s in his late 30’s is celebrating his 10th anniversary this weekend. If he were to behave this way in public with the man he’s shared his life with for the past 10 years, some people, including some who’ve posted to this thread, would say, “Ew, how gross!” In my downright arrogant opinion, that dichotomy is hypocritical. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a few men I’d rather like to hug myself. CJ ---
