My husband gripes and complains all the time about me having tons of shoes and tons of clothes. I don’t get it. I have workout clothes and shoes, business outfits with matching shoes, all the seasons of clothes and he complains ALL THE TIME. He also is a musician and has a band, that I go watch and help promote and I have to dress a certain way for that also. I’m certainly am not going to wear a jogging outfit or a business suit. I really don’t get it. Why does it matter, don’t you want your girl looking good? ---

Funny enough, mine doesn’t dare to complain - he has MORE clothes than me, and MORE shoes. How did this happen? The man never throws anything out, whereas I constantly get rid of old things. ---

1. He may think you spend too much money on clothes. 2. It may just be battle of the sexes stereotypical behavior (which means he’s actually complaining about something else). 3. He may be insecure and think you care more about your clothes than him. 4. You may have too many clothes. I’d guess 1 or 2. Which probably means he wants to buy an expensive guitar. ---

I’ve got friends and family that have stuff they bought years ago and never wore, still with the tags on it. My brother had to have his closets expanded to keep stuff, and he’s a gym teacher - he’s wearing sweats, t-shirts, and sneakers 90% of the time. :smack: ---

But she looks fantastic and put together whether she’s making a grocery run or whether we’re going out to dinner. Do I expect it? No. But it’s one of the many great qualities that attracted me to her and I appreciate the effort, attention and care she puts into how she dresses. Even when we’re just hanging out at home all weekend. ---

I lost my girl card decades ago - I currently have 2 pair of sneakers, 1 black and 1 white. 1 pair black orthopedic mary janes, 1 pair brown clogs that someone gave me 😕 and a pair of swim shoes for when traveling and sharing a shower at a pool. I have 8 pair of identical [black palazzo pants](http://www.devalifewear.com/x/product.php?productid=201&cat=17&page=1) [from my old work wardrobe] 8 assorted color banded bottom polo shirts in assorted colors, also from my old work wardrobe. I have 2 3 packs of the same black ankle socks and 2 3 packs of identical white ankle socks. I have 8 sets underwear in generic white. I have 1 white and 1 black [kaftan](http://www.devalifewear.com/x/product.php?productid=115&cat=16&page=1), 3 assorted color [sarouelles](http://www.devalifewear.com/x/product.php?productid=304&cat=17&page=1) with the cute little top shown, mainly for travelling [the souarelles and french top are great as pajamas] and 3 oversized pocket teeshirts with [mesh knit shorts](http://shop.reebok.com/us/product/men-work-out-ready-mesh-knit-short-apparel/TT575?cid=Z29563&breadcrumb=u2Z1z13xgjZ1z13070) for at home pajamas. I have one ‘nice’ dress, and one formal outfit, with 3 pair of thigh high suntan stockings. [the kind that are elastic topped so I dont need a garter belt, though I actually still have a black and a white garter belt lurking in the back of my dresser drawer that escaped the Culling of the Old Clothing :p] I can pretty much pack every bit of clothing I have in the largest size rolling luggage, with a small backpack of shoes. \ In an emergency, if I was to really bail out, I would be willing to go with the large [tack pack](http://www.eberlestock.com/J79%20Skycrane%20II.htm) I bought mrAru a few years back as it straps onto my current chair without dragging on the floor. I would cull the shoes down to the black mary janes and the swim shoes. ---

My husband always compliments me in anything I wear and appreciates that I take care of myself and always look good. I do it for me and I do it for him. He actually loves it when I dress up. He just thinks I have way too many clothes and shoes. I appreciate a women that looks good and shows confidence. ---
