# Why do Late Night hosts sit on the right?

The most popular and long-running chat show in Ireland has the presenter on the left and the guest(s) on the right, as does the less popular Saturday Night show.

I think Andrew Denton did as well. And, going back a way, Michael Parkinson in the UK.
