It was very easy to fake cum shots in Japan 5-10 years ago because the ‘important’ parts were very heavily censored. Now the ‘mosaics’ used are extremely light, but it is still probably easier to fake a cum shot in Japan–which maybe one reason why directors go out of the way to _not_ fake it, in a weird sort of way. Not to say it is never done. I also wonder if it is any cheaper: using fake shots usually means extra time editing, the women has a harder time getting into it if it is fake, since there was probably a couple of breaks in the action, etc. And you have to make fake cum from raw materials; the real stuff is free! ---

I’ve always thought that cum shots in general are ridiculous, because no one having real sex would do it (except as a dubious birth control method, I suppose). The best cum shot I ever saw was years ago, and it wasn’t a “cum shot” in the traditional sense. The shot was a closeup of on the business end of what’s going on, and at the appropriate moment, fluid starts oozing out around the moving parts. Much better effect than pulling out and dumping the load on the outside. These days, in shows on TLC and the Discovery Channel on sex, you’ll see shots from inside the back of the woman’s vagina, with the tip of the penis blurred out for TV consumption. I say put a few of those in a porno film (minus the blurring), and that’s a **real** cum shot worth watching. ---

**webmastr** , what I should have said is that no man having sex outside of a movie set _would pull out_ just to see his cum splatter, unless (a) you think that prevents pregnancy, or (b) you get your ideas of what a turn-on should be from the movies. I mean yeah, if you’re watching a movie, the cum shot is the suggestive image that you should come too. After all, when you watch it, you’re probably jacking off. It would take a crowbar to pry the average guy, on the verge of an orgasm, off of a woman. ---

Condoms are a must, and you would be surprised at how easy it is to whip the raincoat off to do the duty at hand – with practice. Actually it is quite impressive, watching these guys go from boinking away, to pull out, pull _off_, and straddle, all in one motion. I once saw a guy almost break his neck when he caught a knee in the chest while trying to staddle–at the same time the lady in waiting was trying to hoist herself up. I have known several people who have done porn films, and there have been several documentaries shown on TV in the past year. They all agree that the come shots are real. If a performer cannot ejaculate, then they can use ‘double’, a stand-by performer who can ejaculte. The performer who could not ejaculate does not get paid and the scene is reshot. ---

This is off the subject, but I can’t pass up the opportunity to trash Linda Lovelace and her attacks on the porn industry. I skimmed a bit of her book in the bookstore. She makes a big deal up front about how porn is evil, and every time you see her swallowing in _Deep Throat_, she’s being raped. But by her own account, the people making the movie treated her with great consideration; her problem wasn’t with the porn industry, but with an abusive and exploitative husband who forced her into prostitution and porn. So she’s a ditzbrain who should have been an activist against domestic violence and spousal abuse, not porn - but apparently she (and her editors and readers) couldn’t figure out the difference between one thing and the other. ---

This too is off the subject but the above post regarding Linda Lovelace is totally correct. As I recall (it’s been a while since I read it) she claims she was literaly forced at gunpoint to make those movies, a charge which seems pretty silly. I have a book by Alan Dershowitz (can’t remember the name) which quotes her co-star Harry Reams as saying that her husband (the one holding the gun on her) was kept off the set because she was enjoying the sex so much that he would be jealous. Since his account is not contradicted by numerous witnesses (as well as common sense) like Lovelace’s , I would tend to believe him first. It seems like Linda did some porn in her younger, wilder days, later became an evangelical Christian, and had to recast herself in the role of victim. ---

Even with the masking (which is a joke nowadays anyway) I’m pretty sure the dudes weren’t wearing condoms, IIRC. And the pulling-out-to-facial scene was usually one shot, so I don’t think any trick camerawork was involved. Then again, I used to watch 'em with my Korean-Japanese girlfriend, and by the first climax scene I was usually a bit, umm, distracted… ---
