True, but if you’re going to “fight the good fight” here in GQ, why not fight against stupid joke answers? There are about a dozen of them here, all wasting time and hampster energy.

Since the OP hasn’t returned to clarify, I’d say the most likely explanation has already been offered. He is mistaking varicose veins for bruises. Perhaps the **Surreal** will return to clarify his question. Otherwise, I don’t see much point in looking for ever-more-obscure speculations.
