# Why do so many Etch a Sketch drawings depict a penis?

I never drew a penis on an etch-a-sketch. When I was in grade 3, I drew an entire cityscape full of buildings with windows and signs and antenna and such. The principal saw it and declared it the best Etch-a-Sketch drawing he’d ever seen. Even drew up a certificate of merit declaring such. I was so proud I thought he’d enshrine the little red tablet in a frame and post it for all to see. Instead he handed me the certificate and shook it up, forever erasing my profoundly wondrous drawing.

Maybe I should have drawn a dick.

A real one or the principal?

BTW, you can take the back off an E-A-S and remove the powdery stuff and by gently spraying the inside of the screen with an aerosol glue you can preserve your Etch-A-Sketch art.
